# MathJax

MathJax allows you to easily add mathematical equations to your cards.

AnkiMobile supports MathJax out of the box. Simply place something like
the following on your card:

```text theme={null}
This is some text \(x^2\) with an inline equation.
An equation block:
\[\sqrt{-1}\]
```

More information is available in the [computer manual](/manual/math#mathjax).
